The Amazing El Nido, Palawan

Image
After our stay in Puerto Princesa, me and my cousin decided to ride a van all the way to El Nido. As I remember, it's a 4hr drive so we had a short stop over to eat our lunch at The Bottega Resto and Bar... The food is so great as well as the ambiance. That place is so nice. "Right! The food is cheap too!" After a couple of hours, we finally arrived in El Nido, we asked a tricycle driver to bring us to a small hotel in town, and we stayed at JM's Pension House for 3 days. It seems like they already renovated the place JM's link . And to our surprise, we saw the heavenly beach of Palawan. I can't describe the feeling, me and my cousin just stood there and watched the beach, silently...It takes few minutes for me to realize that "hey evie, you're not dreaming, it's for real!" Yeah, until the water touched my feet, then we took a lot of pictures. I can't take my eyes off the scenery that day! I saw a big canv

Puerto Princesa, Palawan: Honda Bay Tour

Few days in Puerto Princesa was so unforgettable, Places were wonderful from the Arrival and City Tour , The Ugong Rock Cave and Zipline  up to exploring the  Underground River . On our way back, Our driver stopped for a while to let a woman with her child take a hitch, that's how Filipinos help each other, while two foreigners beside me are too arrogant to say "Hey, tourists paying for their ride! com'on! Well, I stared back at them with burning eyes, then whispered. "Could you be Nice at least once in your life!" They stayed quiet then the other one slept while sitting beside me. His Head is almost lying on my shoulder. I saw my cousin sleeping, tried to wake him up but no, he's just so asleep. so I called the other guy with him, Hey! I'm too small and your friend is too heavy! (grinning). He woke his friend up and told him the same thing... so funny! Back in our very peaceful Guest House... Again! We have to wake up early for our Honda Bay tour!

From Sabang wharf, a motorized boat took us to the entrance of the national park for 20 minutes. A boardwalk winding through dense jungle thickets lead us to the mouth of the cave. There a boatman guided us and shown us the wonders waiting for us inside. It is very hard to take the monkeys' picture On our way to the cave, I was so frightened of the roaming monkeys around us, We tried to take their pictures but they were so wild and they move around so fast. I held my things securely for they might snatch it, as warned by our tour Guides "Watch your things carefully for the monkeys might snatch it from you!" I kept that in mind and that made me nervous all the way inside that jungle! We also had fun looking at the big " bayawak ", a big monitor lizard. This is the cave entrance. People working there will take your pictures and it's up to you if you would like to buy them. Pictures they took is not expensive

Oh my... How will I start this... Of course we had a very tiring day on our City Tour so we slept so soundly in our very comfortable rented Guesthouse. We woke up early to pack our things for our next tour. I was actually expecting that we will be swimming but no.... we didn't. This tour is more like a sight seeing. No swimming yet for me...lol. Really? I can't swim but I like the feeling of soaking in the water! and floating! FYI! haha... Of course, we have a Tour Guide, her name is Ate Sharon. What's cool about our tour guides, they are not fluent but they can express themselves clearly using the English Language, as I have observed when some tourists laugh at their jokes...lol!  On our way we were amazed at the splendid top view of Ulugan Bay, and marvel at the karst limestone mountains and elephant cave.   The spot is too boring to take a picture so he lifted me up!
